M. G. McWilliams, a Maryland artist, grew up sailing and sketching on the Chesapeake Bay. She was a photography student at the Maryland Insitute College of Art. A self-taught painter from an early age, her painting styles in watercolor and oil have evolved from inspiration and instruction from well-known artists in Maryland and New England.
M. G. McWilliams' paintings are generated from emotion - being moved by subjects - the natural landscape, townscapes, marine settings, the human element and studies of artifacts and ecofacts. This, combined with the love of painting, the influence of other artists and the joy of sharing has given her the tools to generate emotion in the observer as well. A portion of sales are contributed to fund-raising organizations. M. G. McWilliams is represented by The Worthington Gallery, Butler, Maryland and the Red Queen Gallery, Onancock, Virginia.
